I work with a lovely woman named Kym. I was going to skip the weekly Wednesday blog, but Kym inspired me.

Kym is an older British woman. She is thin and slender and loves to skateboard. She is tough as nails. She has been through a lot in her life. She still has this positivity, and I care for her dearly.

Anywho, Kym has a daughter about my age. Her daughter works full time and doesn’t always make time to see her “mum,” which is how Kym says, Mom. Last night, they celebrated a late Mother’s Day hangout. This made me happy because she deserves a fun Mother’s Day hangout. She explained that they got some Thai food in Glendale, then hung out at her daughter’s house and watched the telly, aka television. She was going to head home around eleven o’clock when her daughter explained that she needed to drive down to Santa Monica to feed her friend’s dog and move their car. Kym decided to go with her because being out that late wasn’t safe. Kym drove them to Santa Monica and then dropped her daughter back at Glendale. Then she hopped onto the freeway but realized the freeway was closed. So, she took the streets. She had to drive through Griffth Park, including Zoo Drive. She couldn’t help but feel an eerie vibe as she went through Griffth Park. Griffith Park is beautiful, but like every beautiful place, it has its tales of hauntings. The roads are dark, eerie, and dimly lit. Kym was concerned, too, because her gas was running low, and it was almost one in the morning. I felt spooked as she painted this story for me about her late evening. I am familiar with the roads she mentioned, and they are spooky. I couldn’t help but think about the bodies found in the area or the countless murders and weird cult-like activity around the park. Kym made it home safely, thank God. Kym’s story is my favorite type of spooky store. The kind where you don’t see anything but just feel something.

Cheers,

Frshta
