I re-watched YOUR NAME by Makoto Shinkai for the fourth time and it captured my heart just like it did the first time in the big screen. I am not a big anime fan but I have a few favorites. This film is filled with heart and timeless spirit about love and the beauty of life and time.

Itomori and Tokyo are the settings for the film. I knew Tokyo existed but I had no idea that the director based Itomori from a real life place in Japan called Itomori! BRAIN BLAST. Itomori is beautiful in the animated film. The colors are magnificent and it is probably one of the beautiful-est scenes I have ever scene in an animated film. Now that I know its a real place, it is going on my bucket list when I visit Japan. Although I am terrified of leaving my comfort zone.

This film gives me an odd sense of peace. It makes me want to be one with nature and it makes me appreciate the simpler things in life.

I don’t know. It makes me feel good. And I want to do things that make me happy or that provide me with a positive outlook on life.

Just watch it.

Let me know what you think.

No spoilers posted …yet.
